When cared for correctly, your slime can last for months and even up to a year or more in some cases. Here’s how to keep it fresh for as many sessions as possible:
• Storage: Always store in a sealed container when you’re done. Nothing destroys slime faster than air.
• Avoid heat: Store slime in dark cool places away from sunlight.
• Keep it clean: Always play with clean hands and surfaces— dirt and oil found on unwashed hands and surfaces are slime’s natural enemies which can create molds and encourage bacteria growth.
If your slime gets a little dry, "rippy", or stiff, add a few drops of water, lotion, or glycerin and work it into the slime. Using small amounts of activator will do the opposite by fixing sticky/wetter slime.
Please remember that all slimes are hand-crafted items that have a shelf life. Even the best made ones have a life span and will eventually dry out, shrink, or degrade due to the inherent nature of the product.
With consistent proper care, your slime will stay ready for a long time to come.

Most recommend an age of 3 or older, that being said, we recommend all children should be supervised while using any type of slime.
Slime Care Tips

Slime gets sticky for everyone eventually for many reasons such as: changes in environment, temperature, humidity, and how long it has been sitting. If your slime feels too sticky, try kneading it with clean, dry hands first. If your hands are naturally too dry consider a small amount of lotion to hydrate before using slime. If it’s still too sticky, use the activator we included in your order (or make your own by mixing 1 - 2 tsps of borax with 1 cup warm water) and add it drop by drop until the slime reaches your preferred consistency. Be careful not to over-activate, or it might become too stiff and “rippy!” Another thing to consider is the temperature of where it is stored. We recommend storing slime between 65°F - 75°F and lower humidity. Often times slime goes through various temperature changes in shipping and needs to acclimate to your environment upon arrival. People will often let their slime sit for a couple hours up to 24 hours after receiving them in order to acclimate because of this. If your slime is too hard, stiff, or “rippy,” this means it is probably overactivated! Try adding a touch of gylcerin or lotion, little by little until desired texture is achieved.

The biggest reason is due to air being trapped inside during play. As we stretch, knead, and squeeze our slime, it pulls air into itself. For someone who enjoys inflating their slimes, this is a good thing! In order for your slime to become clear again all you need to do is allow your slime to sit for a couple of days so it can release the air build up. Be advised that our skin contains natural oils and can transfer them to slime causing fogginess. We always emphasize thoroughly washing hands and surfaces before and after using slime.
Activator Help

Activator keeps slime stretchy, smooth, and not sticking to everything in sight! Often made with a mix of borax (sodium borate) and water, activator works by linking the long chains of glue molecules together—a process called cross-linking. This chemical bond transforms your liquid glue into that perfectly gooey, moldable slime texture we all love. To use it, add a few drops of activator at a time and knead well. Be advised that too much activator and your slime will go from stretchy to stiff and "rippy." If that happens, add a touch of lotion or a bit of warm water to soften it back up.

Processing / Shipping FAQs

Contact us right away through our contact page. If your package has not shipped and is still in our possession prior to a label being created, we can fix the issue. Once your package has been processed and a shipping label is created, we cannot refund shipping costs and you will need to pay for additional shipping, however as long as we still possess the package the address or other errors can be fixed. If a package has shipped, then we have zero control over it and we will not be able to change anything. Again, we are not responsible if an address or other information is entered incorrectly by the customer but we will help in every way possible to correct the issues and ensure a happy and satisfied experience!

Once your package has been processed and a shipping label is created, we cannot refund shipping costs and you will need to pay for additional shipping. That being said, as long as we still possess the package, the address or other errors, can be fixed. You would need to pay for another shipping label to reflect the added weight of the item(s). If a package has shipped, then we have zero control over it and we will not be able to change anything. Additionally because of the nature of our items we cannot deduct items from orders already completed. We take each issue on a case by case basis and are always willing to help ensure you are happy and satisfied with your experience!

Our product can contain dyes, colorants, oil based scents, Polyvinyl Acetate (PVA), soaps, borax, clays, lotions and things that may have been processed alongside other common allergens. While our products strive to be non-toxic and child-friendly, people may still have sensitivities to ingredients used in our product. Please discontinue use immediately if any form of irritation occurs. Remember to never put slime on face, near eyes, and be sure to never try to eat or put in mouth. Currently our “Cosmic’s Classics Collection” is the only collection we offer with an unscented alternative. Although there is an unscented option please be aware the slime will smell of the products used to create it such as glue, borax, glycerin, etc.
